hey! I am curious to know, what kind of internships and projects would really strengthen an application for MsBA program? thankyou <3
Hey, ishani14

To enhance your MSBA application, seek internships in data-focused fields like analytics or consulting, preferably during the summer. Engage in applied analytics projects that involve data collection and analysis, either individually or in teams. Participation in research projects, entrepreneurial initiatives leveraging analytics, or analytics-related student organizations can further strengthen your profile. Ultimately, aim to showcase your ability to apply quantitative and analytical skills to solve real-world problems, making your application more competitive..

I hope that helped :D

Cornell grants application fee waivers. Infact, many applicants received waivers during the recently concluded GMAT Club Spotlight event.

I would suggest mailing the admissions office to ask for one.

Hi when you say waivers you mean application fee waiver or GMAT Test score waiver or any other waiver or scholarships?

They are all available for Cornell. And you will want to read the website or reach out to admissions where applicable.

Let me know if you have any other specific question for Cornell and good luck.

5 Years into management consulting (2 early promotions); 3.3 GPA; Indian/Male; Bits Pilani

What are my chances of getting a waiver approved?

I think the waivers are based more on academic record and certifications rather than promotions, unfortunately.

Requirements:

Candidates who wish to demonstrate analytical or quantitative readiness outside of taking a GMAT or GRE exam may submit a test waiver request with their application for admission should they meet one of more of the following:

1. Earned a STEM, business, or analytical/quantitative- focused undergraduate or graduate degree, maintaining a 3.0 GPA, second class upper division honors, or international equivalent. We accept international credential evaluations that demonstrate this.
2. Hold a CPA or CFA certification or international equivalent.
3. Post-undergraduate, full-time work experience in an analytical or quantitative function, demonstrated on resume

your GPA qualifies and as long as you can demonstrate quantitative elements to your degree I think you should have it strong case as long as your undergraduate institution is known to the admissions team. Frankly, having a couple promotions doesn’t hurt to demonstrate that you are a strong applicant as well. I would throw it in there anyway 👍

it should sent automatically/immediately as soon as you attach their recommender information and email

It should send automatically and you will see the request details in your account. Sometimes the email goes to junk or a spam folder. If this does not work there is a way to resend it from within the application. If that does not work you will want to contact admissions.

The other option would be to use your recommender's personal email address as corporate firewalls prevent these types of emails from getting through.

Hope this helps for now.

Hi, I think you want to show what changed between 2022 and 2025 and how you have evolved or added experience. I would also consider writing the optional essay, talking to current students or admissions staff. You can also find some advice on the website, likely generic for reapplicants.

Hello again, would you mind sharing a little bit about your profile and GMAT score from 2022, and then any updates based on today’s profile.

Also, what was the final decision on your profile, meaning it was just waitlisted? Did you get to clarify why you were waitlisted in 2022?

Thanks,

Hi there ,
First I would say, network with current students, alums and admissions officers. Attend events virtually/physically and get familiar with the school. Get deep insights into what kind of candidates the program is truly looking for. It would give you a clearer picture of how to align your strengths to fit into ideal Cornell candidate.

Now, you also want to show growth. It could be through retaking the GMAT/GRE or taking additional quant courses like the MBA Math, HBS Core (expensive). You want to show growth in your career as well maybe through a promotion or high impact project. Or through professional certifications like passing the CFA L1/ getting chartered— if you are in finance
Or getting Cisco certified— if you’re in cybersecurity. Basically, whichever one suits your career.

You also want to get very strong recommenders who can speak about your professional prowress and write you solid recommendations.

Lastly, I would say try to apply in Round 1 because it shows commitment to the school as a re-applicant.

I hope I’ve been able to help a bit.
