The specific "Why Haas" essay is so short, I am going to include one of the EC interests I have at Haas in both my "goals" essay and the specific "Why Haas "

yeah, in the end, I put the specific club names in the short answer, and just referred to "entrepreneur clubs" in my long essay's "why Haas" section.

I hope that's specific enough to show that I know Haas quite well and really want to get in!

Cal kills Tennessee, woohoo! ;)

BTW, for Cal's Part-time/Full-time work experience in college, do I have to list EVERYTHING? I have random grading for classes and things like that, so insignificant that I don't really want to list...

For my part-time work experience, I'm listing internships, but I'm not listing the jobs I took (Blockbuster, paint crew) to help pay rent while I was working for nothing at the internships. There wasn't enough room, so I figured pick the part-time experience that's most applicable.

edit: I may just list everything, and let them judge what's important.

I was going through filling out all the online application stuff today because my brain was starting to melt down after about 5-6 hours of essay editing and writing. For the Berkeley transcripts, it sounds like you can have an official transcript sent to you, and then you send it on to Berkeley, so long as it is sealed. Is this correct? I know that some schools require that the transcripts be mailed directly to them from your undergrad institution. While it doesn't sound like Berkeley does, I dont want to screw myself.

that's what it sounds like. they don't seem to have a form that some schools require your transcripts to go with.

The irony is I'm going to have Berkeley send me the transcript so I can send it back to Berkeley again... kind of inefficient...

The class of 2009 profile got posted recently.

https://mba.haas.berkeley.edu/community_02.html

My GPA is now the bottom of the 80% range :(

At least my GMAT is at the top I guess.

thanks for the post Bherronp! Wow, GMAT and GPA averages went up a little more!

Fewer engineering and a lot more business majors... interesting. Median age went down even though range went up.

Aerospace industry is now listed at 2% whereas the Class of 2008 it wasn't listed out. I'm aiming for that 2%!

hahha.. yeah i'm a bit intimidated by these stats.. Entertainment industry is only a dismal 3%! I hope that is a good thing that we're unique.. By the way, did you go to Berkeley for your U-grad?

yeah, I see them listing aerospace this time as a good thing. Shows that there are more people applying from aerospace, yet not enough that I have to differentiate myself from all the IB/consulting people who apply.

Yes, I went to Cal for U-grad, Go Bears!

I'm hoping to be part of the few, the proud, the 3% telecom. That's a grand total of about 7 people.

Real estate also only gets a wonderful 3%. How can they be considered to have one of the best real estate programs in the country when there are only a dozen of us there?

Guys, I talked to a Haas rep and they said you can send the transcript directly from your undergrad. But I wanna make sure, cuz maybe remember the wrong thing. Where does it say that you need to have it sent to yourself first?

Please correct me if I'm wrong.
