Congrats, it is a good score.

You are scaring me with your comments about verbal questions in the real test.

Maverick, I do not mean to scare you. I just took CR and RC for granted. They were not all like that. There were a bunch of CRs that were straightforward. But some were like, whatttttt??? I think it's best to do a systematic approach. If I can't get the answer the first time around I think I need to learn how to break down the problem into its parts and attack it that way. I thought I was good enough to not have to do that, well probably was wrong :) I mean I did it mentally, but not in a systematic way.

RCs , maybe same thing, maybe I will need to write notes, although I hate doing so. Will help on tough Q's. I will force myself to.

In addition, also do gmatprep as many times as possible!! I did see a question on there as well from math that was the same question with diff numbers.

Congratulations... How did you prepared for the exam and how long have you been studying for it?

I found the real test's verbal questions to be as easy as or easier than GMATPrep's.

Safiya,

My prep goes way back. I studied for 2 and a half months before the test. Before that I took a break, had a lot of new things, apt/job but studied over the summer and before but not too diligently. Just questions on gmatclub, OG questions, but never took a great study approach (no error log, never scheduled so put it off a lot, not on a routine)

Maybe it was just a bad day for me on verbal. Maybe the RC passage was experiemental but I thought it was difficult. I was also sick the whole week before when I planned on prepping and doing RC and CRs which I wasnt able to do.

Terp,

Congrats. A 680 is nothing to sneeze at. It def shows you can hang. However, I share your disappointment. Seeing your posts, I think you can score higher. And I wouldn't mention it unless I thought you could score more than 30 points higher.
