Ok so I finally took the test and landed a 680. I am not too thrilled about it but I am happy I at least got it out of the way. I will try and post a full de-brief however I rather use that for my final one.
Things about the test:
Verbal:
I agree with people on this forum who said the RC and CR on the test is absolutely brutal. I considered myself really good in CR and RC but I honestly thought they were on par with LSAT level, or greater. One of the RCs threw me for such a loop, unlike anything I've seen before. CRs were long winded etc with multiple answer choices. SC, at least in my opinion werent too difficult. I even recognized one from GMATPrep.
Math:
What can I say....I scored a 46 so I didnt see any ultra hard problems. However I found myself due to the time constraints rushing through hard problems or skipping them and the last 10 I think I breezed through since they were pretty medium level. Found myself guessing on some. What also rattled me during math was that my pen ran out of ink!!!! I kept trying to rewrite and I couldnt read my handwriting. It was on and off the ink. Finally got a replacement when the lady saw me, but that definitely cost me a minute or 2 and got me a little crazy. But overall the math wasnt too difficult, standard gmatprep stuff. 1 comb problem that was so simple, and 1 probablity id rate at medium to hard if you understood the trick. Probably like 3-4 set problems, standard number theory divisibility odd even problems, nothing too different there. No distance/work rate problems.
My prep was all overthe place.
Math scores from 46-50 on gmatpreps
verbal from 37-46 ( higher end because of repeats)
710-770
Overall my study strategy will be, find the hardest RC and CRs and do them timed. I cannot stress this enough. Do LSAT problems only. SC as I said seemed pretty standard however it could just be that I thought I got them right but I did notice the tricks in some of them so I figured I was able to deduce. There were a bunch where usually Id be only down to 2 choices, I eliminated to 1 right off the bat.
AWA well I prepped for like 10 minutes 2 nights before. I think I aced the analysis of an argument essay however the analysis of an issue I struggled with, definitely put together some BS for that one. Well see.
Update: Got a 6.0 , 4 days after test so quickturnaround.
Overall, not happy, somewhat disappointed , but glad to finally have gotten the test out of the way.
