Haha...almost everyone on this forum is waiting. It is weird to see the amount of activity on BW wrt the admit calls. It is kinda silent out here
It is close to 6 PM CST now, so I think most of the local calls should be done for the day.
GSB better show some serious love to the clubbers tomorrow else it will leave a LOT of folks disappointed.

On the other hand if we "all" do get in (as svrider hopes)...we need to ensure that the GSB recognizes Rhyme's contributions by making him a big shot in the adcom...will help next yrs applicants...

Way To Go nervous....your nickname is an absolute misnomer...Kudos!

Re: Calling Chicago GSB 2008 applicants [#permalink]
Just noticed an interesting conversation about a sudden change in application statuses on the GSB website.
https://forums.businessweek.com/n/pfx/fo ... &tid=73854

FYI mine did say invite to interview and last change date as 01/30 (the date i received the invite) within the PDF until around half an hour ago and now its gone. there is no status within the PDF but says invite to interview on the site...

My Take:
Now...I am sure that both Cornell and Chicago use the same web application to aid the application process. People who've used both will attest...
I was WL'ed with Cornell a few days ago. A few minutes ago I did a quick check on the same link/pdf with the Cornell app and noticed that the last change date was the date they discussed/notified me.

Now given that there had been no change in that date on my chicago app until an hour ago..I'd think it is most certainly a ding. It seems logical too..update the internal status for admits/WLs and then perform a mass update on the remaining to switch them to Denied on D day.

I am at this point almost certain that it is a DING for me...if any of you managed to see that last change date before the GSB took it out, you can try and make sense of it.

Please note that this is my take on the entire situation....we'll know if I was right tomorrow/day after.
For once I really hope I am wrong but I think I just might be right on this one :(
Did nervous/audio/anyone happen to check it up on yours? Mebbe there is some method to this madness here...

congrats audio and nervous...we are all hoping to join you tomorrow morning.

I am surprised to see such low activity here on d-day. I guess (and hope) not many calls went out. Calls were on for about 3 hours, but I guess only Joanna was calling...anybody knows of anyone who got a call from someone not named Joanna?

sleep well guys..

This is from Donna on the GSB forum

It appears that in my haste to remove fields that were not relevant I have indirectly caused some panic amongst the round two application pool.

The PDF report available via the application status screen in the online application contained data that was not valid. (The last status change date). I removed this row from the report so that people would not be confused.

As we stated all along your status will not change again until 9:00am on March 26th. Anyone attempting to read into dates contained within a PDF may be confused and cause people to panic unnecessarily. Unfortunately this removal has caused people to panic unnecessarily. It appears to be a 'no win' situation.

As a side note calls will continue tomorrow and into Wednesday. We do our best to contact everyone but it is not always possible. The calls are all random and there isn't any order based on last name or location.

KK, I think you have gone mad. The avatar fits you perfectly. There's just 1 more day left. No point in stressing everyone out. Relax a bit.

congrats audio, nervous, and ghgirl!!!

Wow, nice, nervous and ghgirl getting admits from both Kellogg and GSB! That's a tough feat to accomplish!

Nervous, I worship you. you're probably the only person on here who applied to more than 1 school that has a 1.000 batting average. NICE! :-D

kryzak, I didn't apply to Stanford or Harvard for that matter ;) Have I applied to either, I doubt my batting average would still be 1.000

All, thank you for your warm words! Now I have an even more difficult decision to make...
