x intercept being more than one and slope = -1/10 will not give us enuf information about y intecept

take this example

let's assume x intercept = 2
y=mx+b
0=(-1/10)*2+b ; b = 0.2 , so yes line will intersect circle

let's assume x intercept =20
0=(-1/10)*20+b b=2 ; line will not intersect circle .

I saw my mistake , another one.

m = \(\frac{\Delta y}{\Delta x}\)

and NOT \(\frac{\Delta x}{\Delta y}\)

That was great....dont know why I just dint plug in the numbers. :twisted:
