Re: GMATPrep Q48 with 7 wrong. Possible? [#permalink]
Thanks. The thing is that I am very happy with a Q48. I just don't want to think I'm starting to understand this stuff on a high level, then go take the test and get a Q43 or something.

I got 2 wrong in a row once at about 22 & 23. I missed #3, # 7 and #10 and then went a stretch of about 11 in a row correct. Then missed 2 or 3 in the last 10 questions of the test. Now that I think about it, that 11 correct in a row from 11 to 22 might have been the difference to bring my score up and keep it there.

gmatprep 12 wrong 50Q , the design of the test is towards the end you are supposed to get one right, one wrong, at your score level.

i bet if u didn't get those 3 wrong in the first 10 and didn't cluster the 2 wrongs in the middle, you would have scored marginally better..maybe a 49.

i think early on the variation in the question types are a lot more than later on. i have hypothesised this on a graph attached

Thanks for that graph. That seems to be accurate from everything I've read on here regarding GMAT scoring.

I need to get my practice environment a bit more "test-like" as I did this after I got home from work and my wife and daughter were talking to me a various times throughout the test. It's hard to be gone all day and then tell a 2 year-old it will be another hour and a half. :(

I remember seeing that and posting in that thread. I haven't checked back in a day or 2. I'll see what updates are there. Thanks!
