Verbal Analysis

This is from another thread. I decided to post separately since it was off the subject of the original thread.

I just took MGMAT CAT 5 this past Saturday, and I got 44V. I got 11 wrong.

Breakdown:
11/15 SC
10/12 RC
9/14 CR

Question Level: # of Questions
300 - 500: 1
500 - 600: 1
600 - 700: 19
700 - 800: 20

Analyze as you wish. The trend I've been noticing in my verbal CAT scores is that RC counts the most in Verbal. Whenever I do well on RC, I do well on the whole verbal section. As you can see my hit rate on SC and CR wasn't all that great. So I think it's worth the time investment to make sure you understand the passages you are reading, understand the questions and answers, etc.

Here's another breakdown from MGMAT CAT 4 (42V):

12 total wrong.
11/14 CR
7/12
11/15 SC

Question Difficulty: # of Q's
300 - 500: 2
500 - 600: 4
600 - 700: 7
700 - 800: 28

As you can see, my SC was the same, my CR was better, but my RC was worse in this one. RC counts quite a bit. But I'm surprised to see that I faced many more 700-800 level questions when I was doing worse.
