Hey Guys,
I want to thank you first about what you're offering for the GMATers community. The forum is a wonderful box of knowledge. I've been surfin on here from a month ago.
Maybe You've understand it guys, I am one of those MBA's carrot victims
preparing this test.. not easy guys 6 years after leavin university to take such an exam...
Wanting to share with you my exp:
-preparing for GMAT seriously from a month (about 15 hours per week).
-Material used: started with OG12 (shouldn't do it) then the KAPLAN Premier online (good book but easy questions+ intersting online material: tests, quizzes, videos...) now starting by the
MGMAT guides.. and gmat forum notes surely...
So the main point I want to share is about the KAPLAN CAT tests. Actually as I've seen, the majority of posts over here considers that the GMAT Kaplan CAT test is always about 50-100 less than the real GMAT score (this is implemented in the score simulator also). My personal experience shows that this is not pretty correct. I just finished my 2nd Kaplan CAT test and my score is wonderful 740 (Q53 V40), description as follows:
Quant: 33/37 correct answers (the false answers are Nbrs: 8,14,20,37 so well distanced), I think that with 4 false questions the Q51 shouldn't be reachable (here I have Q53) so this is the first exclamation sign !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Verbal: 23/41 correct answers (the false answers are Nbrs: 5,13,18,22,23,25-27, 31-39,41 so well distanced at the beginning and guessing at the end 10 questions), with such figures I am asking seriously if I merit a Q40...
I thank you for you intervention guys,
Is it normal to have 740 with such figures?
Is KAPLAN tests still 50-100 pts behing the real GMAT test?
What is the nb of false answers permitted per session to still have a high score!!! (answer isn't obvious I know) but your experiences are the most welcome.
thx
