Hi Everyone,
My plan is to apply to business school this fall. My targeted schools are UCLA or USC for now, I may have more schools later. About myself: I graduated in 2005 with a economics degree with a gpa in the low 3.0s. I didn't have much extracurriculars in college, except for a few clubs and tutoring kids for free in underprivileged neighborhoods. I know I need at least a 700 to get into these schools.
The Plan:I will probably need about 3 months to attain this goal, since I've been out of school for a long time. I haven't taken a standardized test since I got my CPA license 2 years ago.
Here are the study materials I plan on using after reading a lot of debriefs taking advice from bb's thread:
1. Kaplan Premier 2010 Edition (already bought)
2. MGMAT Number Properties (need to order)
3. MGMAT SC (need to order)
4. OG 12th Edition (already bought)
5. OG Quant 2nd Edition (need to order), 1st Edition (borrowed from friend)
6. OG Verbal 2nd Edition (need to order), 1st Edition (borrowed from friend)
7. GMAT Prep Tests
8. ERROR LOG
9. ***Suggestions please...
1st Few Weeks:I plan on working on Kaplan the first few weeks to familiarize myself with the test. Then I will take a GMAT Prep Test to know where I stand and how much more time I need to work on my weaknesses. I don't want to waste a GMAT Prep now because I am sure I need help on everything since it's been a long time. I will update this plan and continue writing in this thread with my progress. I think by writing it'll help me with my AWA since I haven't written an essay in 5 years.
I am open to any suggestions, feel free to criticize.
LETS DO THIS. GO GO GO!
