I am having trouble deteriming what a reasonable range of schools might be for me.
Profile:
UG: U of Illinios BSEE(always top 3 in EE), but my GPA was a 2.6. Have since pulled head out of A$$.
PG: Doing a M.S. Building Construction Management at Purdue University, will graduate in May '10 with a 4.0.
Experience: 5+ years experience in international industrial energy infrastructure design and construction. 1 year international management experience. 3 years total overseas project work experience. PE license in Power in April.
Extra Curriculars: Company relocates me every year so it's hard, UofI alumni association, IEEE member, Golden Key Honors Society. (Probably weak here, any suggestions)
GMAT: Haven't taken it yet but expect 750 +/-, (this may seem like a bold assumption but I do very well on standardized tests and have reason to believe it's achievable for me.)
Married. (Don't know if this matters)
The schools I was looking at are:
Kellog: Reach
Ross @ U Mich: Target
Darden @ U VA: Target
KF @ UNC: Target
McCombs @ U of T: Target
Question is do these schools seem reasonable or do you think my UG GPA will get me thrown out straight off? I have read multiple opinions on whether my grad school GPA will help offset my UG GPA.
Any suggestions on an application strategy?
