Sweet! Glad you guys like them. There's just so many crazy opinions on these forums that it cracked me up every time I read them. Probably 80% (maybe 90% on GC) of the opinions are reasonable, but then you get these ppl who are just completely divorced from reality. Pretty funny stuff. :)

Completely agree!

Dude, these are FUNNY! Great job with putting these together. For as much time as you spent, I'm glad you did and much Kudos for that. +1

We should pool some minds and come up with some more scripts or even make it a friendly contest to see who can make the funniest one.

Hmm, did it really take that much time. I have a feeling I know EXACTLY who these videos are spoofing. Was the blond guy in the first one DOokie over at BW? I feel like I've read these before...are they verbatim? If not, you captured their essence perfectly.

Thanks again guys! Wushu, you're close... the blond kid in the second video was actually based on Goldscape, who argued for several weeks with Dookee over Yale SOM. It wasn't verbatim from the BW thread, but based on what I remembered. That whole debate still cracks me up.

outlawfades - i'd love to see other peoples' takes... there's certainly enough neurotic/eccentric personalities out there to make a lot of good videos. another one that i might try to do is based on the checkbox controversy from the 1st Round Wharton apps this year - that was just too funny. let me know if you put something together.

Yeah, I recognized Goldscape right away. I like the $2.5 trillion on their new building. My favorite comment in the whole video was "I didn't even take a **** for two days because I was working on a deal."

I died of laughter. Reminded me why I stopped going to BW in the first place.

And I'm highly upset you didn't capture dookee in there. I have had it out with him more than once.

Thanks. I'm really entertained by the fact the Goldscape is STILL at it, posting the exact same rants about Yale as he always was.

Dookee is definitely an interesting personality over there. He was partly the inspiration behind the cocky Stanford/HBS proponent in the first video. Although that character also includes some qualities of the guys who like to post about how no one will ever be able to break into private equity.

The whole process that we've all gone through this past year just seems hysterical in hindsight... applying to business school fosters some serious neuroses.

Yea, this is what I wonder about sometimes. I mean, is it only b-schools that generate this kind of "neurosis?" I haven't observed it with other types of schools, like law school, engineering school, etc. I remember that when I applied to grad school in engineering, I applied to only one school and got in. Spent maybe just a couple of days on the application and then forgot all about it until I got the offer letter. B-school application process is in a league all its own. Seriously.
