Congratulations. How did you deal with frustration (if you had any) and how did you avoid burning out?

I was extremely frustrated after the second GMAT. I knew that the score from the two attempts did not reflect my true ability, I more or less resigned myself to going to schools within my score range and prepared accordingly. Fortunately, the schools within my score range were nothing to be too depressed about.

In order to avoid burning out, I convinced myself that learning new concepts is an interesting endeavor to take.

I think all in all, the positive attitude definitely contributed to my result.

dc3828102, thanks for your reply. How many CAT's did you take during preparation?

I did a lot of CAT's prior to first exam (4 Manhattan GMAT and 2 GMATPrep), none prior to second, and 1 Manhattan GMAT and 1 GMATPrep prior to last.

I did not focus in so much in on the CAT once I got used how the test is formatted.

Hey congratulations man. Just a quick question. Did you not do the OG before your 1st exam? Or did you do it before your first exam and then re-do it before your final one? I'm asking this because I already finished the OG prior to my first exam and got a 690, so I'm debating whether I should go through it again.

Thanks

I did do the OG11 before my 1st exam but I did it while I wasn't really focusing in on the exam much.

I went from cover-to-cover on the OG12 about 3 weeks before the 3rd exam.

If you do not mind the stress of preparation, I don't think it's going to hurt you in any way by taking the exam once more. Personally for me after two tries, I was planning on being done after the 3rd try whether I get a score that I can be happy with or not.

Congrats with perfect result!

Could you please share you opinion about 1000SC material? Was it valuable for you? Was it worth time spending?

Thank you.

jake,

Personally, I thought the 1000SC material was helpful. There are definitely some sentences that are suspect. However, the ability to test myself in myriad of different ways definitely improved my sentence correcting ability.

Good luck in your journey!
