Re: Possible careers after MBA? [#permalink]
Thanks guys. Yes I know I will have some options but I am trying to compare which one is more feasible because I want to give more time to my family.
Since I haven't worked in occupations such as operations, finance etc. before I don't know how they are but that's why I was requesting feedback because I am coming from a technology background. I am unsure myself on what would suit me best, but I do know I want minimal travel. Some travel is ok of course.

I read the other thread on being down on consulting and I think it all depends on what type of consulting you do. For example I work as a Controller for a management consulting firm and also just began my Masters (thanks to the info I found on this site). Overall I love the job and many of our employees that do travel still have families and very manageable hours. If any of you are looking into possibly starting your own consulting firm I would definitely check out my company, were always looking to bring on intelligent professionals to our network GlobalCFOs(dot)com.

Product management might be a good fit -- if you have a strong technical background mixed w/business experience, its a good career opportunity. Can be demanding just as any other post MBA job, but likely not a lot of travel.

Good luck!
