Re: Test crash [#permalink]
After I finsihed my exam on 21st and went to the proctor for the score, she enquired if my PC also crashed. There were some 5 folks who gave the test that day laong with me in the noon slot and according to her, only I could get the official scores.
The remaining people didnt get their scores that day. Not sure if they got them the next day or not.

Re: Test crash [#permalink]
That is frightening, please let us know if/how this was resolved!

My computer hung a little during the essay sections, and quite a bit during the experimental sections, but I think that was just the computer not keeping up (audio files for the experimental section for example), and not software crashes. But I would have been freaking out if I knew that this had happened to people recently!

Best of luck, hopefully it's a refund AND you get your test scores! That is some unnecessary stress to be sure!

Re: Test crash [#permalink]
Well..i too shared the same experience. I had taken the exam on Nov 22nd and had completed the entire graded section and was answering questions in the survey on new question types to be introduced when i faced this situation. I presume it happened as i was merrily clicking answers with scant regard to its relevance to questions :0 .. and its been two whole days since this happended and GMAT is sleeping over it with no reply to my reported incident... really sucks !!!!

Re: Test crash [#permalink]
Well, I got a response from the GMAT:

"We have reviewed your incident and would like to get in contact with you to schedule a new GMAT exam at no additional cost to you."

Basically - my exam was lost, and I have to retake it.

In order to be able to retake the exam, I will have to go to the nearest test site, which is in another country, and I will have to spend additional 150$ on travelling expenses. This is none of their business and I have to cover these additional costs myself.

Great success!
