And I am still terrible at Algebra. Problem is, I cannot find a refresher on Algebra that starts you from the beginning. Most of the books I have go on the assumption that I still know the fundamentals.
Does anybody know of any websites that have a tutorial on the basics of algebra?
Thanks
Same here. I have a JD so nailed all other sections in the mid 600's on my first practice test before even studying! But I haven't done math in 15 years so I basically had to start over. All the study guides assume you have a foundation, and the basic math books are so fat - I didn't have time to go through all that just to get to the practice problems. I was almost ready to give up on taking the GMAT when I found this GREAT little book...
"NO FEAR ALGEBRA, Just the basics" - Sparknotes by Spark Publishing
It makes it so easy, explains in plain English. I'm finally getting the hang of this - and its little, you can go through it in a couple of days. I'm on my second time through, did all practice Q's on scratch paper so I could reuse. I found a copy in a used book store for $2 bucks!
Good Luck!
