Use the optional essay to explain. Also having a gap in work experience if it can be explained its okay. In this economy i have seen people apply to school and succeed and adcom understands that it is the economy and the results of wall street.

Thanks! I don't have any gaps per sé, but I don't want to give anything away to my present employers. I guess I'll find out one way or the other soon enough....
