Hi,
First time here. Can you please help me with my profile evaluation?
GMAT - 720
Work Ex - 3 yrs as a Business Analyst at Standard Chartered Scope International, India. Work mainly as a bridge between Stan Chart Singapore and the IT team in India. My work is in the field of Business Intelligence. Rated among top 10% of the organization, couple of awards, highest bonus in team etc. Our projects have great visibiity (upto CFO of the Bank), have greatly increased accuracy of reports, decreased turn around time etc.Almost do a team lead, though my designation doesn't say so.
Acads - Mechanical Engg, IIT Madras, India, CG - 3.0 (few awards class topper etc)
Community Service - 1 yr in teaching, but way back (does that count?). Donate Blood.
Extra Currics - Play cricket actively. Gold medal in college, represent our unit in company etc. Actively write letters/articles to newspapers
Leadership/Initiatives - Organized Knowledge Sharing Sessions at work, Mentor newcomers.
Certifications - Equity Derivatives by National Stock Exchange,India ; Business Communication etc
Post MBA - My work currently is like a bridge between tech team(say X) - I- the SCB project team(say Y). I am at X now, I want to go Y. My work involves pulling out meaningful data from a whole lot of data in formats desired by the end user. These reports help drive bank’s revenue growth by understanding the client performance and identifying profit makers, analyzing trends in various products offered by the Bank.Another application of ours in compliance with BASEL II Norms ,thus helping in strong risk management. I want to go to (Y), where all the action is. MBA will help me understand the basics of fin, general strategy, decision making, ability to see beyond numbers.Post MBA I want to be at the decision making side of the analytics/business intelligence world.
Can you suggest some B-schools in the US where I have a realistic chance?
Thanks!
