I'd go with what Jerz suggested. The employment reports on B school websites break down the post-MBA jobs into industries and functional areas both. So, if you are certain about any one criteria, you can dig deeper into these reports and see. Also, Wetfeet and Vault career guides are available for most functional areas and they do provide quote good info on what skills are required to succeed in what kind of job. However, I only read the "Careers in Consulting" guides. You might have to pay a few dollars for the latest versions but an older version might be available for a free download at scribd.com

the placement staistics on school websites will help, though they will list only companies and not profiles offered to graduates. also, vault.com has description of almost every possible career around!
