Ive been a member for a while and have never posted a thing. But I guess fear and nervousness will make you try anything!! This site is a constant source of motivation for me. Reading peoples experiences helps!!
My background: I have given the GMAT before (in Sep 2010): Scored 610 (Q34,V40), was under prepared, used Kaplan and didnt do extremely well. I didnt apply to any universities with the score, as I didnt believe my target universities would even consider me!
Procrastinated for the next 8 months, before deciding to take another stab at the beast, and have been preparing since May this year. I have used Manhattan to prepare and have done the online question bank for each topic and tried to understand what and where i went wrong last time.
Exam is on Sunday, bottom line, I am very nervous, afraid of the exam and just extremely uneasy
My target is to score anything above 690, my scores on the prep tests are extremely unflattering:
MGMAT CAT1: 530 Q28, V35
GMATPREP 1: 640
GMATPREP 2 :650
GMATPREP Multiple times (Since): 710 (somehow, I always get the same score, even with different questions) - Q37, V44
MGMAT CAT2: 660 - 15/09/2011 - Q45, V35
Knewton Free test: 680 Q43,V40
MGMAT CAT3: 660 - 17/09/2011 - Q44 V36
I find myself missing the simple tricks in problems, am unable to remember simple concepts and trying to guess everything. I am also spending way too much time on verbal questions and having to hurry the last few verbal questions.
I am now re-reading all my quant notes and am also focusing on the AWA as I have not prepared for this. I plan on taking the remaining
MGMAT Cats today and tomorrow and will post scores.
Im sure you have heard all of this before, but any advise that you can provide is highly appreciated.
