Hi all

I am wondering if it would just be cheaper to buy a single MGMAT strategy book (each is around $17-20) on Amazon or something like, and get access to their online CAT and answer bank, rather than purchase it from their website for $39?

Does each copy come with access or do you only get access if you buy the entire set? I already have a copy of the set that I use, but they are second hand and of course, the online codes are used and not valid.

Also, ideally it would be great to get a book like the Advanced GMAT Quant or Verbal book, as that way I wouldn't be repeating what I already have, but I take it that these 2 books don't come with online CAT access, only question banks.

Can anyone help please? If so, I'll place my order right away and hopefully get it by Monday/Tuesday.

If your aim is to get access to MGMAT CAT tests then you can buy any of the 8 MGMAT Verbal and Quant guides. You will get access to all the 6 tests. However, I am not sure if Advanced Quant book has the access code.

Well I am guessing that the codes are probably tied to 1 / account.

You "could" create 8 different accounts, but I am not sure if you will gain from doing the same 6 test sets over and over. You are bound to get repeats after a while, and also, you will likely not gain much from doing so many similar tests.

I thought the idea was to do a diversity of different CAT tests, MGMAT being one of them.

Hello alinomoto,

you get access to 6 practice tests when you buy any one of the 8 basic guides of Manhattan series 3 verbal books are part of this 8 series so you do definitely get access to the cats when you buy any one of them - cr guide, sc guide or rc guide.

You don't get access to cats with supplement books of Manhattan - advanced Gmat quant from Manhattan , verbal or quant foundation books. However you will get a few practise questions and bonus drill sets with advanced quant supplement book.

Advanced Quant does not come with access code for tests...

Thanks all. I found the easiest way to buy the book (and cheapest too). Bought one of them at the Amazon Kindle store for $9.99, in ebook form.

Apparently you just have to email MGMAT your receipt and they will give you online access.

Simple. Done.

Yes, both the kindle and the interactive format within then gmat toolkit app for iphone/ipad qualify for free tests access. Keep in mind that only the 8 guides qualifynformthenfree tests. The supplements do not.

Actually the Official Guide Companion (12th ed.) comes with free tests too. It's the only supplements with tests.

I purchased the Advance Quant by Manhattan and it does not come with 6 MGMAT test CAT's although you get access for few quant questions on the respective website.
