Hello all,
First of all, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. I stumbled upon this forum while doing research for part-time MBA. I have been reading people's opinions and whatnot constantly for past two days or so. Finally, I wanted to ask you pros about what sort of chances I have and provide me some feed back. Anything would be very appreciated and helpful.
- Demographics:
23 yrs (soon to be 24), Indian by birth, but raised in US
- Education:
Undergrad: BS, Nuclear Engineering at NC State University, GPA 3.3. One of the top Nuke Eng universities in the nation
Grad: Masters, Nuclear Engineering at NC State University, GPA ~3.1 (Achieved it while working Full-time)
Passed Fundamentals of Engineering Exam
GMAT 650
- Work experience:
2.5 years at a premier Nuclear Engineering firm (Nuclear Engineer)
Worked on Masters while working fulltime
3 months Nuclear Engineer Internship at a utility company
- Extracurriculars
Co-founder and President, Toastmasters (at work)
External chair, Asian strategy development (at work)
Young Nuclear Engineer leadership (at work)
Project Management, 2-3 independent projects
2 publications
Cricket club, American Nuclear Society, ASME leadership positions at college
- Goals:
short term: business development and strategy for nuclear expansion in Asian countries
long term: business and government relations within nuclear industry, nuclear expansion strategy, renewable energy development and expansion
- Schools:
New York University, Stern part-time MBA. Since I work in New York area, it would be most convenient to attend NYU.
Any advice on other schools is appreciated.
I was wondering if anyone could provide me with an idea of where I stand. I really appreciate any advice.
