solving the eq we get x=5/2 and y=7/2
implies
x-y = -2/2 = -1

On solving this equation, we get x=2.5 and y=3.5 . Hence, (x-y)= -1. Ans-A

Since x + y = 6, then x = 6 - y. Substituting this into the second equation for x, we have:

3(6 - y) - y = 4

18 - 3y - y = 4

-4y = -14

y = 3.5

Thus, x = 6 - 3.5 = 2.5 and x - y = 2.5 - 3.5 = -1.

Answer: A

Add:
\(x + y = 6\)
\(3x-y = 4\)
-----------------------
\(4x = 10\)
\(x =\frac{10}{4}=\frac{5}{2}\)

\(x + y = 6\)
\(\frac{5}{2} + y = \frac{12}{2}\)
\(y = (\frac{12}{2}-\frac{5}{2}) = \frac{7}{2}\)

\((x - y)\)
\((\frac{5}{2}-\frac{7}{2})= -\frac{2}{2}= -1\)

x +y =6 ... Eq (1)
3x-y =4 ... Eq (2)

Adding Eq (1) & (2)
we get 4x=10
hence 2x =5

Eq (2) : 3x-y =4
Hence, x-y = 4-2x = 4-5= -1. Answer = A.
