bonjour_india:
Thank you for posting. Our responses below:
1) With being into the category of Indian Applicants and with a low GMAT score of 640. What are my chances in the above business schools .?
This shouldn't be a huge problem, but I wouldn't say it's exactly your strength. You are targeting an appropriate list of schools given your demographic and score. Are you opposed to retaking the exam? A few extra points in each category will go a long way in boosting your overall score (the exam disproportionately values balance.)
2) What according to you should be my target schools for concentration in finance according to my profile ?
Why are you second guessing your list? Isn't the list consistent with your goals?
3) Do i have decent profile to get into a business school or do i need to improve it to maximize my chances of getting into one? Your recommendations to improve my profile ?
Yes, you have a great overall profile. You have a good number of years of experience, extracurricular activities, relevant coursework, good grades and recognition/a promotion. Now you need to focus on researching your schools of interest so you can ascertain fit, engaging with these schools to express your interest to them through various admissions events and talking to current/former students, and working on honing your narrative including but not limited to why you need/want an MBA and how your current background is going to help you succeed after you graduate.
