I have purchased the following:

- The Princeton Review Cracking the GMAT 2004 Edition
- Kaplan's GMAT 2004 Edition
- Kaplan's GRE/GMAT Math Workbook 3rd Edition
- ETS The Official Guide for GMAT Review 10th Edition

Now, I just don't know where to begin and how to assimilate all of these study materials into a good study plan. :shock: I plan to take the GMAT in May, so I have 4 months of study time.

I'd appreciate any feedback on where to begin.

the first step is to study Princeton materials and then begin to do and review Kaplan math workbook. After those practice, you could do Official Guide and kaplan CD-ROM, then schedule full-length test from Princeton and kaplan after you had been done several practice.

Do not do the OG before you do the PowerPrepp tests. It will give you a better idea of your scores

I echo Paul--

Powerprep 1
Workbooks from Kaplan and PR
Tests from Kaplan and PR
Powerprep 2
OG
Paper tests (If you can get your hands on the genuine article)


This approach has the benefit of showing how much improvement is attributable to the PR and Kaplan stuff.

Many times it has been said that you ought to mark every question you miss, catalog them, and go back and do each of them again. I wish I would have started this earlier.

Rinse, lather, repeat.

Spreadsheet of Missed Questions [#permalink] New post   14 Jan 2004, 09:58
I'm really interested in cataloging my missed questions using Excel. Anyone have an approach that worked best for them.

I assume I'd want to list each question missed with the type of question (RC, DS, etc.) that it was and a brief description of the concept being tested?

You're better off with screenprints for the online stuff, and photocopies for the written stuff.

I would use an excel spreadsheet after I collated the data the old fashioned way.

Just my two cents.
