Hello,
The University I graduated from follows GPA based scoring system which is based on Relative grading. My Relative grading based GPA is 2.98/4. However, in terms of absolute grading, my GPA would be higher somewhere in range of 3.3-3.5. Thus reporting GPA of 2.98 would provide a distorted view of my academics in applications. However, I do not have any official document mentioning my absolute GPA. Besides, I do not have semester wise absolute marks in each individual course which could have helped me arrive at my absolute GPA. Could someone please guide me on how to report my GPA in applications ?
Thanks in advance!

So, it looks like you went to school in India. Now I am familiar with the xx/10 rating that many Indian students get. I typically tell people to do a WES conversion so I can give appropriate advice. In this situation, I am confused.
I get what you are trying to say, but it seems as if your school has a rather unique, and unhelpful, way of reporting GPA. You really can't report a GPA that isn't reflect on the transcripts, but what you can do is reach out to adcoms before hand and explain to them the unique way of reporting GPA at your school and how it doesn't appropriately reflect your score.
You also might want to get information on this relative scoring that your school does so you can send it along with your application.
