Hi,

Except for the prep martial available, what are the other resources to get deep understating into PnC. I am still unable to get basic fundamentals.

Please suggest

Do you mean Permutations and Combinations? You can go thru my this article. Also for further information you can refer GMAT CLUB Math Book.

Hi Nareen,

Yes, I meant Permutations and Combinations. Your article is very well written and is very helpful. You seems to have a strong grip on this concept so I will try to explain my situation.

I am able to understand basics when it comes to the topic, but as soon as a little twist comes I fail to combine the cases. So I guess its still some problem in the roots. I have referred to 3-4 prep material and still fell I am missing something. So I am looking for a resource which will give me deep understanding. I guess I have to go beyond GMAT prep material for that and refer to some Math book.

Dear Game001,

My Article is indeed based on school math books. It begins with very basic concept i.e. Methods of counting and then gradually touches advanced concepts such as permutations, combinations etc.

From your post above all I can say is that you should do enough practice on basic questions at first and then move ahead to GMAT questions. If you can access Indian School Math Books then I would highly recommend you to go thru the chapter No 34 - Permutation and No 35 - Combination of CBSE Class XI Math Book. Volume - II (Author - Dr. R. D. Sharma). If you can not access Indian school books then you can search for the school math book that contain P & C in your area.

From my experience I can say that adoption of permutations and combinations concepts takes time, but if you pursued it with dedication then its not difficult task to achieve.
