Can I select immediately after receiving unofficial scores or will I have to wait till they send the official scores?
This is what is written on their website
Sending Scores
We have introduced new flexibility with the GMAT™ online exam that gives candidates control to decide when they are ready to send their score to programs. Included with the GMAT™ online exam fee, candidates will have the opportunity to first view their official score and then choose to send their score to selected programs. In addition, candidates can send 5 complimentary score reports within 48 hours upon receipt of their official score in their account.

Official scores will be made available to schools within 24 hours of the candidate’s request.

Hello, rajveertandon. The GMAT™ Online Exam Scores FAQ page answers the question less ambiguously. I have taken the liberty of underlining the keyword after:

Quote:
How can I send my official GMAT™ Online score to schools?

After you have received and reviewed your official score in your mba.com account, you will have the opportunity and flexibility to select which score(s) you want to send to schools. You can search and select programs you wish to send scores to via your mba.com account. The GMAT™ exam delivered online will include 5 free score reports. Once your official GMAT™ online score is made available via mba.com, your 5 free score reports must be used within 48 hours. Additional score reports can be purchased for US$35 each. For any exam taken on or after October 20, 2021, this new score sending policy will apply. Programs will receive your score within 8 hours of your request.
If you have further questions, let us know. Good luck.

- Andrew

If you're giving it Online, you'll need to wait till they become Official before you can send them. First 5 'sends' are free within 48 hours of arriving. To be careful, make sure you check your spam folder just in case they send the notification of your scores and you don't get alerted.
