I have used winebid before. Don't forget that you need to add 15% to the final price (if I recall) which is what they take from the buyer for auctioning the wines. They also collect 12-15% from the seller as well.

I'm in a good position because I can drive up and pick up wines that I buy from them, so I can save on shipping and not have to worry about wines getting damaged in transit.

I do not know about the Italian wine you mentioned. I really don't know much about Italian wines, but I'd like to learn. I would say that I know my way around Napa wines really well, and I have good knowledge about Bordeaux, Sauternes & Champagne. I never really took to the Pinot craze inspired by Sideways.

If I also get into one of my top choices, I'd love to share one of my bottles with you.
