Eliminate A, B, D, and E.

Can be solved easily by meaning analysis and knowing the usage of 'between..and'. Meaning analysis shows that a link cannot be from X to Y but between X and Y.

Hence, answer is C

Hi,
Correct idiom to use with link at the end of the sentence is between X and Y. Only option C uses the correct form.

A) from the appearance of news stories about violence to
B) between the appearance of news stories about violence to: Between X to Y is incorrect.
C) between the appearance of news stories about violence and
D) with the appearance of news stories about violence to
E) with the appearance of news stories about violence and
