I know what STEM is but meant that I'm not sure what kind of degree you are hoping to apply for - you mentioned MBA or masters. What would you hope to get a masters in? Why are you considering an MBA? We'd need some additional detail about you as well - what is your work experience, undergrad GPA, GMAT or GRE score, what are you post-MBA or post-MBA career goals in the short term & long term?

I have an undergraduate degree in BBA (Bachelors in Business Administration) with a CGPA of 3.6/4. I have been working since May 2017. I was hoping to pursue MBA in either Marketing or International Business. However, pursuing a STEM degree seems more beneficial and neither Marketing nor IB course provides a STEM degree. Therefore, I am considering to change my career plans. Was hoping for some information on what kind of courses are available under STEM for commerce background candidates since I have read that STEM courses are usually for science background people and I may not be able to apply in any. Any suggestions?

Sorry for the delay - it's honestly a bit hard to give you much direction without more detail. The type of degree that's the best fit for you is really going to depend on your career goals. If you want to go into a business role an MBA is definitely the way to go. A masters in a STEM subject area is not going to set you up well for a business career & is generally designed more for some who wants a scientific/technical career following the degree. Your candidacy is also going to depend on your work experience. B-schools want to see that you've demonstrated business skills at work & that you have had business impact. That said, you are on the low end in terms of years of experience -- most b-schools want to see at least 3-5 years when you apply. On the flip side, masters programs don't care much about work experience & instead care about your scores & what you plan to do following the degree. Hope that helps!

I have experience in working for a digital agency and a start up. But I want to change my career goals to something more technical/specialised. Hence my will to apply for a STEM course. As you mentioned, pursuing MS wont be an issue since schools don't pay much attention to relevant work ex required for the course, that being said, will I be able to apply for a STEM course with a commerce background? From what I know, STEM courses are usually for people with a science background, my only question is, what are the available STEM courses that I (as a commerce/business student) will be able to apply for?
