I have ordered the ESR and I am waiting to get that back. I got a 48 on quant last time I took the exam. Any recommendation on the best strategy train myself to avoid careless mistakes?
I think if you had another test with 48, it’s clear that you got it. In terms of careless mistakes, it’s usually not some thing that comes up only once. You can definitely have a terrible day and things just not lining up well. My main big value and recommendation for careless mistakes and quant is to slow down. I recommend even taking a two or three second break in between questions to sort of clear your mind …I guess my point is that do you have a careless mistake issue or is it just the first thought that came up….? Also, the 48, is that an a real test or practice test? I don’t think it really matters but it will be super shocking if it’s actually a real GMAT exam 😬
I got a 48 on a real GMAT exam. The lowest I ever got (on both practice and real before today) was 46. Thank you for that, I definetly need to learn to slow down to not repeat today.
When reviewing my last practice exam, I noticed that I missed a few easy questions due to carless mistakes. I will wait to see what the ESR reveals before I make my next moves. I might go through the study plan again. This time focusing on the areas outlined in the ESR.
