Hi All,
I am starting on my study plan for GMATfrom today. My target score....surprise.... surprise 710. My target schools:- Wharton, Chiacgo, Stanford.
My plan is to give the exam end of April. I had done a Kaplan practice test a couple of months ago and managed 580 despite leaving many questions unattempted. I am hoping that i should be able to now increase my score to 710 through practice and hardwork.
From now till April i plan to do 37 maths problems or 41 verbal questions every day so that i get into the groove. For this i am using the two books of KAPLAN GMAT Comprehensive programme as well as Princeton Review. Every fortnight i will give a GMAT CAT and will be tracking my progress. Along the way my plan is to share and pick up some score enhancng tips.
Please feel free to advice me on my study plan and share any suggestions.

Hi Raoul,
since you are starting out, i'd recommend searching for "success stories" on the
Share Your GMAT Experience forum and looking at what successful gmat takers used as their sources, you will be able to gauge what you need to do to emulate other's success.
What you will find repeatedly is this theme:
OG11 (
Official Guide 11th edition)
OG Quant and Verbal Reviews (OG11 Supplements)
Manhattan GMAT Sentence Correction book (
MGMAT SC, comes with 7 free tests)
Challanges (now known as
GMATClub tests)
and THIS FORUM for participation.
SC1000 material (free download from lots of sources)
the CAT to take is GMATPrep (but don't waste it since u only get 2 untarnished attempts)
hence the above should give more than enough for 3 months study and might I suggest that you should ditch the Kaplan materials (the test u did is in no way indicative of score or material of your current capabilities, let me assure you).
cheers,
buff
