    • £ is an operation defined for all real numbers as a£b = \(a√b\)

To find:
    • The value of 3£(2£4)

Approach and Working:
    • 3£(2£4) = 3£(\(2√4\)) = 3£(2 x 2) = 3£4 = \(3√4\) = 6

Hence, the correct answer is option C.

We work from the “inside out,” so we will first evaluate 2£4 and use that value to finish the problem.

2£4 = 2√4 = 2 x 2 = 4

3£4 = 3√4 = 3 x 2 = 6

Given that a £ b = \(a\sqrt{b}\) and we need to find the value of 3 £(2£4)

Lets start by finding the value of 2£4

To find 2£4 we need to compare what is before and after £ in 2£4 and a£b

=> We need to substitute a with 2 and b with 4 in a £ b to get the value of 2£4

=> 2 £ 4 = \(2\sqrt{4}\) = 2*2 = 4

=> 3 £(2£4) = 3£4

Similarly, 3 £ 4 = \(3\sqrt{4}\) = 3*2 = 6

So, Answer will be C
