Hi all

60 is what percent of 20% of the number which is 9 times greater than 60?

Will this be the answer ?

60= x/100 * 20/100 * 60+9(60)

x=( 60*100*100)/ (20*600)

x= 50


Can anyone please confirm if this will be the answer ?


x times greater than y means y+xy
and x times y means xy

9 times 60 is = 540
20 % of 540 is

540/5

60 is what percent of this number.

\(60/(540/5)\) * \(100\)

= \(60/108 * 100\) = 55.55%

shiv your answer seems to be correct..

jedit, its 9 times greater than 60( which is equivalent to 10 times 60)

I think usually 'times' and 'times greater' creates a confusion.
