Timing Strategy - To Give my best possible shot

Question

Hi ! I am Sidharth and I have been preparing for GMAT exam from last 4 months .

I am very grateful to GMAT club for the resources which are available online , these resources were of great help.

I have entered into final phase of my preparations and have started giving mocks.

I faced a dilemma on both of the mocks that I gave : I was not able to complete all the questions in verbal and Quant section .

In Quant section ( Accuracy 75 % ) but my I couldn't complete last 4 questions ( 34,35,36,37 )

In verbal section I was able to reach only till Q 29 and time got over .

Need advice on any specific methods that I should adopt while practicing questions / giving mocks that will increase my speed

Any general statistics available which indicate ... probable number of guesses allowed to balance the time .

Available material with me : GMAT Club tests , E GMAT Verbal Scholarium , Planning to purchase GMAT PREP Additional 2 mock package

I look forward to hear any expert insights on this / personal experience on how to overcome this hurdle .
 
If there is any other data required from my side as input so as to view the problem I am facing holistically , please let me know.

As for improvement in Quant, focus on finding easier ways to solve problems.
Spend 10-15 seconds to see if you could backsolve/substituting answers after
an equation has been formed. Follow Bunuel at the Quant forums and solve
all the questions shared by him. Even if you are able to solve 8-10 questions
in less than a minute each, you will be able to use that time saved there for
other questions.

Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) What study materials have you used so far?
2) How have you scored on EACH of your CATs (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
3) Did you take the FULL CAT each time (with the Essay and IR sections)?

Goals:
4) What is your goal score?
5) When are you planning to take the GMAT?
6) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
7) What Schools are you planning to apply to?

I had a problem of a different kind. I was rushing things and had like 10 minutes for the last 2 questions. I am now timing every 8 questions and averaging as per that. Makes it much easier instead of tracking time for every Q.. You can try 10 Q to start with

See if below helps:

For quant:
At question 11, you should have 50 minutes left.
At question 21, you should have 30 minutes left. (Phase -2)
At question 31, you should have 10 minutes left.

For Vebal:
At question 11, you should have 55 minutes left.
At question 21, you should have 35 minutes left. (Phase -2)
At question 31, you should have 15 minutes left.

Phase - 2 is most tricky, don't bang your head on difficult questions 
and double check your steps to avoid silly mistakes in easy ones.

I too faced the similar problem and and improving my time and stress management really helped me to achieve my 700+. Please check the links shared my  pushpitkc  , they are really useful. Another course that really helped me to to improve was empowergmat. They have some really good strategies. Do check in the trial version first. I always spent more time at the beginning and struggled in the end. In my last GMAT, I only concentrated to maintain a constant pace throughout the exam and finish the verbal section within time without struggle and that really helped me to ace the verbal section.
