toefl...If you were an employer what kind of worker would you prefer to hire: an inexperienced worker at a low salary of an experienced worker at high salary.Use specific reasons and detains to support your answer.
Things have been changing and so as the technology and needs of consumers. Being an employer if I had to hire a worker, I would hire an inexperienced worker. The grounds for that choice are, of course, financial perspective, new employee’s exposure to recent methods of training and most importantly equal amount of time that both, experienced and inexperienced, would need to adapt new technology.
An experienced worker might be good for the position he was holding previously. Since types of job, working environment and responsibilities are different in each company so regardless experience an employer would have to adjust for new job. I don’t think I need to pay more for that because first I need to know whether employee can get along with my company or not. Hence I would have to say I will prefer inexperienced employee at low salary.
Most people think that an inexperienced worker needs more time to learn the ropes. I gainsay that on the basis that an inexperienced worker means a person who recently finished his studies or diploma and, in other words, he learned about those tactics, concepts and ideas that were not included in the syllabus when an experienced person got his formal training. Moreover now-a-days students or other people who are pursuing formal or professional education do internships and projects before getting their degrees and that experience is sufficient for their adjustment in their jobs.
Jobs vary owing to emergence of new technology and demands of consumer and to in order to keep up the employees with job demands a company don’t need to hire an experienced employee at high cost. My company needs workers who can articulate, keep up with changing technology and adapt the revolutionary methods in their works. However, an experienced worker only knows the traditional methods or techniques; therefore his experience can’t give any additional benefit to my company.
I believe that it is not worth giving more salary to a worker who needs to learn same rules and adapt changes that an inexperienced worker does. I would like to hire an inexperienced worker and pay him according to his ability to articulate, pace with new technology and adaptability.
