Hey guys,

I have a massive problem with translating the words into equations/maths.

I know most of the rules and can do the math itself, but I mostly don't get there.

How do you suggest to tackle this problem?
Just practice questions till I get better at it?

I've already done many questions and also reviewed them properly and worked through the Manhattan guides.

Yours is a common issue.
I typically advise students to begin with a "word equation" and then slowly transform it into an algebraic equation.

Not long ago I was in somewhat similar shoes as you are in right now. Perhaps what helped me the most was breaking apart the question sentence by sentence.
It took time and practice but once I started concentrating on one piece at a time while deriving an equation each time, it helped me get to the equation needed for the question.
Ofcourse there are a various number of ways to write up a sentence, but one needs a clear cut understanding of the sentence in order to put it into numbers and variables.
I'd say keep practicing the word problems. Preferably don't time yourself until your accuracy in equation creation is more than 80%.
