Hello guys,
I took my first official gmat preparation test and I got 780.
The weird thing, that I would like to discuss with you, is that I got Q 50 and V 47. First of all the percentile of the 2 sections are respectively 99 and 86. Are the quantitative scores so higher than the quantitative in average?
More over I gave 7 wrong answers in quantitative section, only 2 in verbal. It seems to me quite strange. Can anyone help me to understand if something went wrogn with the calculation of the score or how is this possible?

The score calculation is totally fine. A large number of candidates score 49+ in quant and hence the percentile is much lower than verbal.
For example, I scored a 50 in Quant in my actual GMAT and have a percentile of 86, but I scored a 40 in Verbal and have a percentile of 91 for the same.
The number of wrong answers is not the only thing that impacts the score. It also depends on the difficulty level of the questions you got wrong.

It's a great score you've got. I would take the second prep test. If the second score is in the same range, you're good to take the official one.
