seems like i am just terrible in RC. can anyone please give me any tips on how to improve my RC. it'd be a lot of help for me.

Three things that helped me. Practice, passage maps, and error logs.

I noticed that I had trouble with detail questions. Spend the time to make sure that every answer is IMPLICITLY supported by the passage.

Globals tripped me up, as well. (you know, what's the purpose type questions) I always picked the layout of the passage instead of the why.

It has helped me to create a quick map on my scratch paper.

I would break it down by paragragh 1, 2, 3, etc. I would use key words such as Thomas Jefferson, marsupials, placentas, dates (1877, 18th century) and list line number. So paragraph 1, my scratch paper might look like Thomas Jefferson line 8, so I can glance quickly back to passage for specific questions. Dates helps put things in chronological order. No need to write out whole sentences unless it is the author's main argument.

Actually, I did do some regular reading on my own. It helped me out because I could take a break from actively reading and just enjoy reading again. I guess that's pretty person specific, though.
