Urgently improve Verbal skill advise?

Urgently improve Verbal skill advise? [#permalink] New post   21 Mar 2017, 18:00
Hi guys,
Currently, I'm practicing verbal part of SC and CR for a week but my score in verbal part is still ranked at 17-20.
I have read the power scored CR and Manhatthan Sc books, worked problems in OG 12 and 15 and solved the problems here.

I wonder how much can most people can improve the verbal part within 90 days?
How many problems should I practice per day to reach my verbal goal ?

I know that 90 days sounds rush but it is my last chance after I messed twice with GMAT for almost 6 months.

you have enough time on your hand to improve.
when i started my preparation even i scored in this range 17-20. What helped me a lot is error log, In SC i kept a note on things i went wrong and tried to avoid the same mistakes again. In CR and RC ( Tough to improve significantly) try doing at-least 10 questions each.
You will definitely achieve your targeted score. All the best :thumbup:

Hi Scuba11,

90 days is a good enough time to improve your verbal score. If you are willing to study dedicatedly for that period, you are sure to achieve your goal in verbal. I believe you may benefit from taking an additional course in Verbal. If you are willing, there are some great GMAT prep companies that can help you with your preparation.

In order to make an informed decision I would highly encourage you to go to their websites and try on their free trial and decide for yourself which one do you like better. Further I see you are a new member here at GMATCLUB and when you sign up at GMATCLUB you get a free 3 days access to EMPOWERgmat course. In fact it is the only way to get the deal which is very kool.

Further I would highly encourage you to consider e-gmat verbal online or the e-gmat verbal live course. They are both amazing courses especially designed for non-natives and they are both within your budget. They offer almost 25% of their courses for free so you can try out their free trial to decide which one you want to go for. Plus the e-gmat Scholaranium which is included in both the courses is one of the best verbal practice tools in the market.

Hi Scuba11 ,
Verbal - eGMAT on demand or live course
SC - Manhattan SC or e-GMAT course - it it easiest sub-section in verbal to improve .
CR - Powerscore Bible
RC - Manhattan , Veritas or e-GMAT strategy - you should aim to read everyday
Make error logs and investigate the root cause of the errors . All the best !!

All the material is best and most valuable suggested by Skywalker, you can practice approx 40 t0 50 questions daily and also review them and trace out your weak areas
