Hi,

I have scheduled my exam for 5th July. I am still to take a few more CATs before taking that final plunge. But I just wanted to know should I study/revise besides taking the CATs.

Good luck on the 5th - here is a thread about this: 1-week-left-suggestions-on-what-to-do-90084.html

Looks like I also was planning to make it a sticky (master) thread (based on the message I left for myself; that's still on my to-do list. If you would like to help; that would be great).

Thanks bb...

The post about "test-day-warmup" is really nice. This is my second attempt. I messed up the first one because I was distracted by the noises, the room temp etc etc a little too much. I raised this issue with the cutomer care and now they have rescheduled my exam. Guess everybody faces that problem. What amazes me is how people manage to maintain their concentration despite such glitches. I hope I am able to do so this time

tingle,

I'd recommend focusing on your sleep schedule over the next two weeks, especially if you're taking the test in the morning. I'm not a morning person, so I shifted my schedule much earlier starting two weeks before the test. With one week to go, I was adjusted to the new schedule and felt comfortable with it. Also, I'd try and solve problems after you get up in the morning, to get your brain used to thinking at that time (sounds funny, but I found this surprisingly helpful).

That's actually a great piece of advice!
I took a full length GMAT test the day before my actual GMAT and i felt it was very helpful too (getting up in the morning, doing the routine, etc).

If on the last night you are not able to fall asleep a bit longer than usual - that's fairly normal. nobody usually can.

@madgmatter: I totally agree with you. I too am not a morning person and so I preferred the afternoon slot. I have taken 3 CATs uptil now and i took all three of them in the afternoon just to accustom myself to that routine. Also, i start studying only in the afternoon just to keep my brain active at that time.

Ah, good strategy. I would have gone that route, but didn't see any afternoon slots at my test center.
