Re: Yet another profile eval for an Accounting Ph.D [#permalink]
My apologies for posting on an old thread, but I'm very interested in an update from the OP.

I have a similar profile with an interest in healthcare and audit, and I am looking at applying to GSU, Emory, and GA Tech for Fall 2022.

-3.9 undergrad GPA, regional state university
-4.0 MAcc GPA, regional state university
-CPA license
-2 years public accounting experience auditing governments and nonprofits
-8 years at a privately held healthcare company, currently the financial controller
-1 year as a part-time adjunct at a private university (I teach one class/semester)
-currently working with a professor from my undergrad on a research proposal
-650 on my first practice GMAT, hoping to crack at least 700 with Manhattan Prep
-weak math background: B in precalc, dropped calc 1 twice, then an A in business calc; I am hoping to improve my GMAT quant score enough to make up for this

Your profile is good. Just crack a 720+ on the GMAT with a Q49+. You should be good for the programs that you have mentioned.
