Given: A computer is on sale for $1600, which is a 20% discount off the regular price.
Asked: What is the regular price?
A computer is on sale for $1600, which is a 20% discount off the regular price.
(100%-20%) R = $1600
R = $1600/80% = $2000

Discount of 20% is applied on regular price so the resulting price $1600 is 80% of actual price
Thus, \(\frac{80}{100}\)* regular price = 1600
Regular price = 1600*\(\frac{100}{80}\)
Regular price = 2000
Answer (C).
