R = $1600/80% = $2000

Discount of 20% is applied on regular price so the resulting price $1600 is 80% of actual price
Thus, \(\frac{80}{100}\)* regular price = 1600
Regular price = 1600*\(\frac{100}{80}\)
Regular price = 2000
Answer (C).

We can let n = the regular price, and create the equation:
0.8n = 1600
n = 2,000
Answer: C
