(1) After the 24 beads are removed, the number of pink beads remaining in the bag equals the number of blue beads remaining in the bag.
(2) Of the beads removed, the ratio of the number of pink beads to the number of blue beads is 3 to 1.

given: 56p and 44b total 100
needs to find out how many are blue after 24 beads removed.

Statement 1: after 24 removed p=b so 100-24= 76 ; and 76/2= 38 ; so p and b are 38nos. (suffi)
Edited after correction from MikeHelios
Statement 2: 24 beads removed, the ratio is 3:1 so 4b=24; b=6; p=18 ; so there will be 44-6 = 38 blue beads in the bag. (suffi)

Both stat alone sufficient to ans

the 2nd statement says that of the 24 beads removed, the ratio is 3:1 and not of the remaining ones.
so the equation will be 4b=24; b=6; p=18.
