I have been searching for a long time if good B-Schools consider applicants having experience working in anti-corruption role in Government Departments at Central (Federal) level where huge grants and loans are provided to companies, institutions and individuals.
My profile is:
Indian, Male, Age-29
Under grad- Mechanical Engineering, CGPA-7.75/10
Internships- at a Public Sector Aluminium production Company for 2 months, another six months at a small company making material handing equipment.
Worked as full time Mechanical Engineer at a plant in India's one of the top Tyre manufacturing company for 5 months.
Presently, working in Central Govt., India in anti-corruption unit. I have been working in anti-corruption unit for around 4 years now. My role basically involves finding out if any corrupt activity has taken place by examining documents. I have also taken part in proceedings in High Courts & Tribunal and discussed cases with lawyers on behalf of Govt.
As may be seen from above, I completed my graduation in Mechanical Engineering and now working in anti-corruption role. Do good B-Schools consider such applicants?

Hi senti23! This sounds like very interesting work. Have you thought about what you want to use the MBA to do next? My first impression (without knowing more detail) is that could be tricky to connect clearly an MBA path with your work in government anticorruption, but it's not impossible if you can link it to a more commercial end-goal. Is there a business connection there? On the surface, it sounds like experience that might normally connect to a government/public policy or law school degree, so if you were to apply to business schools, you'll have to help them understand the links.
If you can make those goals clear and understandable, demonstrate transferable skills and experience and show a strong GMAT and fit with the school, you will improve your chances of success. Of course your chances will vary depending on the exact schools you choose. I didn't notice a GMAT in your description, but there is a lot of competition from Indian applicants at many business schools, so a good test score would be extremely helpful.

I have been thinking about this a lot as to how to show relevance.
In my country, all banks both public and private are required to have an anti-corruption or vigilance units, similarly all public sector companies have vigilance units. A person in the senior management, who deals directly with the head, handles these matters.
My experience may be helpful in banks, which disburse loans and also in funds which provide grants to non-profit organizations.
