At a certain company, employees are categorized as either salaried or hourly. If 70% of employees are engineers and 50% of employees are salaried engineers, what percent of employees are hourly engineers?

A. 20%
B. 25%
C. 30%
D. 35%
E. 40%

Let’s say there are 100 employees.

70 are engineers, and 50 are salaried engineers.

Thus, 20, or 20/100 = 20% of the employees are hourly engineers.
