the new biography about the novelist is at more than 800 pages in length. Only D has the correct meaning.Rest others are redundant.

the new biography about the novelist is at more than 800 pages in length. Only D has the correct meaning.Rest others are redundant.

Only B or D use correct structure. B is illogical and only D makes sense.

At more than 800 pages in length, the novelist’s life stands revealed in the new biography, which sets the standard for research.

A. novelist’s life stands revealed in the new biography, which sets the standard for research
B. new biography is setting standards of research on the novelist’s life
C. standard for research has been set by a new biography on the novelist
D. new biography about the novelist sets the standard for research
E. novelist’s life is revealed in a standard-setting new biography

Most will agree to shortlist options B or D. Now In option B it seems somewhat awkward/redundant as biography is always for someone's life, hence i don't think there should be a mention of life after using biography.
D clearly avoids that mistake, also it is not awkward sounding as B with unncessary usage of gerund.
