Hi, I have a question. I usually finish the quant section ten or fifteen minutes earlier and scoring around 49-50 (during my cat or the gmatclub test)

I wanted to know if we could leave the last question answered without click on submit and then take a longer break to be more fresh for the verbal section?

Even if you can, I wouldn't recommend it. I doubt that the additional 10 minutes would translate into a higher verbal score than what you would otherwise get. If it does, you need to work on your test taking stamina.

Get comfortable working with eight minute breaks. It is a sufficient amount of time to clear your head and be prepared for the verbal section.

Leaving a question unanswered penalizes your score in GMAT esp in quantitative section.
Instead you can risk getting it incorrect. So don't leave any question unanswered.
You may exhaust yourself trying to complete your quantitative section and it may impact your performance in verbal section.
Remain calm and composed giving best shot for both sections.

I think you need to check whether there are any punishment in case that test takers didn't click submit button but let the countdown timer end the test itself. If the answer is No, then your idea might be a good one.

I in fact dont know the answer yet. Wait for experts reply here :)

I don't recommend it. 8 minutes should be fine, unless you really feel that another 10-15 minutes will help you focus (maybe they'll break your "flow"). Also, remember that if you are not taking a break, you have to be inside the testing room. That is, you can't get up and take a longer break. That extra time will have to be spent in front of the computer on which you are taking the GMAT.

I don't doubt that you are capable of finishing the quant section early, but be careful about trying to do that on exam day. Your practice tests cannot incorporate exam day pressure, and that 10-15 minute "buffer" could actually come in handy on the day of the exam.
