Okay.

MY AO was IR, but received all the updates from DC so far. Did anything similar to this happen to anyone else?

Need a suggestion!

With a score of 710 in classic gmat, is it a good idea to apply for Insead R3 Aug intake or should I wait for R1 December intake?

Not sure if GMAT matters too much when it comes to which round to apply for. But I know R3&4 usually have limited scholarship.

chakri1997 - it would depend on your overall profile i.e. strength of work-ex, ECs, motivations, whether you belong to an over-represented demographic, etc. and also on the Q/ V split of your score.

The composite score (710) is borderline/ average for INSEAD, so everything else being equal, applying early (i.e. R1) would be better. This would also offer higher chances at scholarships in general.

Just ensure you answer Why INSEAD, I can see this profile as a good one

You have a very strong profile. I have worked with similar profiles for ORMs and yeah, they landed in top US schools. The score is slightly lower for ORM but the profile definitely can work for INSEAD. Any reason you are not applying in upcoming R1 instead?

Look the thing is everything seems good. By R3, you already know that seats available will be slightly less regardless of what you hear about acceptance rates in each round, proportional doesn’t beat absolute and the competition is definitely different from that of R1. And score is the only "if" I see in the profile. To maximize the odds, if you apply smarter in R1 you will probably have a better shot(know that many people prefer Aug intake and they will not apply to R1 for similar reasons but doesn’t that help your odds?)

Interesting profile. INSEAD values entrepreneurial experience.

Having a strong narrative covering your skillsets, why MBA, why now and why INSEAD would be crucial. Highlighting any international exposure you've had would also be good. Applying in R1 would be ideal, given the competitive Indian pool. If you feel you can increase your score, it also gives you some time to give GMAT another shot.

Key differences between the Jan and Aug intakes of INSEAD are here. You could also check out insights from our recent INSEAD admit (with entrepreneurial experiences pre-MBA) here

Interesting profile overall. INSEAD is within reach based on your current credentials.

Only thing that needs to come out well in your application is the motivation, fit etc. viz. Why INSEAD? Why MBA? Why Now?

I had a client with similar sort of profile as yours crack INSEAD recently.

If you need professional help with your applications, do reach out. I would love to be of assistance whichever round or intake you chose and believe you have it in you to crack the school.
