Unless you look like Quasimodo or the Elephant Man, I say submit a pic - putting a name with a face will "personalize" your application in the sense that "you" become more than just a bunch of ink on printed paper.

My status shows "interview complete" on Dec 20. Since it's the holiday time, does it mean I will need to wait till mid or late Jan for a decision? Since I already got accepted by another top 10 program but CBS is still my dreamed school, not sure if I should wait or just go ahead and accept the offer.

Not sure why you'd want to accept the other offer if CBS is your top choice, esp if it's not exploding.

ED Applicant had my interview on Friday (12/17) went complete on Monday (12/20) got a call today Wednesday (12/23) asking for more info regarding activities since leaving job in August. Adcom Rep said they were going to committee soon probably next week.

I am kind of freaking out about something guys, I was hoping you could tell me what you think I should do.

So I applied for a Diversity Day at Columbia last month, and it was to be held on Dec. 3. I had to submit and essay and resume. Anyway, the deadline for notification came and went, and then Dec. 3 came and went and I didn't hear anything. To be honest, I practically forgot about it because I was so busy with other things. Anyway, I checked my junk box a few days ago and I saw an email sitting there that said I had been accepted to attend the Diversity Day. How bad does it look that it basically looks like I made no attempt one way or another to acknowledge their invitation? I mean, it has been well over two weeks since the event took place, but should I send an email anyway?? Or would that just look weird?

I just submitted my CBS application. But seconds after I submit I realized that I put my employment while in college in the section for professional experience even though the instruction clearly states to put it in optional essay. How bad will this look? Is anyone else in the same boat? Am I misunderstanding the instructions to begin with? It seems odd that they would ask us to put that information in the optional essay. I thought that we would only need to do so if there was not enough space after including our after-college professional experiences. Can anyone help me here?

To be honest, I don't think it is that big of a deal. But, it could be an opportunity to reach out to CBS admissions; perhaps, visit on your own and explain what happened. Tell them you were so bummed because you really wanted to attend yada yada yada...In fact, first place I would start is emailing a current student BBSA member who was coordinating the prospective student events. PM me for her email.
